For more than 25 years, Mr. Kassirer has built a career as an outstanding financial executive with leading investment-banking businesses. Mr. Kassirer is Chief Executive Officer of Kassirer Asset Management Corporation, an investment management company specializing in merger arbitrage and other market neutral investment strategies.

While President and CEO of Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Canada, Mr. Kassirer was responsible for all aspects of fixed income and equity sales, research and trading functions, investment banking including corporate finance and M&A business, and all finance and operations functions. During this time, he also served as a Director of Deutsche Bank Canada. Prior to these positions, Mr. Kassirer was Director, Executive Vice President, and member of the Executive Committee of Burns Fry Limited where he was responsible for all fixed-income and equity trading, derivative businesses and risk management.

Mr. Kassirer holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, an MBA from York University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
